Description

‘So great was the activity of the Victorian rebuilders and restorers that only twelve of the thousand and more parish churches which existed in Wales in 1800 have survived untouched.’ John Davies, The Making of Wales

Sacred Places aims to guide visitors to 100 of the lesser-known Sacred Places across Breconshire including some of the ‘untouched’ churches. The sites have been selected by local history groups across the county who know how to search out the hidden gems. Explore beautiful heritage in glorious settings, many within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
